The Brocard Complex has long had an excellent reputation for seriously good French carp fishing. This is the smaller of the two Brocard Lakes & it is long and thin in shape, encompassing around 29 acres (not exactly small at all then!). It holds a good stock of carp to well over 50lb & catfish to 110lb.
Four swims (all doubles) are spread along the length of the water. You book a double swim here so it’s ideal for a social with a mate.
‘The lake is very quiet; you can’t see the other anglers so it’s like fishing an exclusive lake. The fish are in superb condition and are nicely proportioned – no “beer guts”! (3 anglers, 61 carp, average 30lb, inc. 45 & 47lb commons)’
